The short version

The card is made entirely in your browser. Nothing you type, not the network name and not the password, is sent to me or anyone else. The only request this site sends is an anonymous visit count, described under Analytics.

What your browser keeps

Your card, including the password, is saved in your browser's local storage so it is still there next time. It never leaves your device, and "Start over", or clearing this site's data in your browser, removes it.

Files, text and links you make

Save file, Copy as text and Copy link put the whole card, password included, into a file or a piece of text. That is their purpose: the card exists to hand the network out. Where they go from there is up to you. A link keeps the card after the #, a part browsers never send to a server.

Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare Pages. To deliver and protect it, Cloudflare processes technical request data, including your IP address, user agent and the URL requested. This is inherent to how any website reaches you, and I have no access to individual visitor records. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Analytics

I use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see roughly how many people visit. It is cookieless: it sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, does not fingerprint you and does not follow you across sites. I see aggregate counts, never individual visitors, and never anything you type.

If you email me

If you write to me, I will hold that message in my mailbox and use it only to reply. I will not add you to any list, and I have nothing to sell you.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask what data I hold about you, and ask for it corrected or deleted. For this site that is nothing at all, unless we have corresponded. Write to meet@snowmaker.io.
